IOWA - ANGUS
(formerly Bear) - ADOPTED!
Angus was a day away from being euthanized when he was rescued.
He is now happily living in a foster home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Angus is about 4 years old and weighs 90 pounds (he needs to drop a few
pounds). He is up to date on all his shots (including Rabies), is
neutered,
heartworm negative, on a flea/tick preventative and housebroken.
Angus is very social with people, other dogs and even cats! He is
playful, but also likes to kick back and relax. Angus' foster mom
tells us when asked to sit, Angus complies and raises a paw to shake
your hand at the same time. What a gentleman! If you are
looking for a canine companion/addition to your family, Angus is your
man!
ILLINOIS- LUCY
Lucy is a 4 year old, 85 pound mixed breed (Newf? Lab? Border Collie?),
who was a stray in southern Ohio (she likely was dumped there). A
very kind woman noticed Lucy wandering in her neighborhood. It
took this woman quite some time, but she managed to coax Lucy to her by
tossing bits of hot dog in her direction. This lady contacted me
in early November to ask if Trunewf's Rescue could help Lucy find a
forever home as she would not be able to keep her. Lucy is now in
foster care in northern IL.
Lucy is up to date on all her shots (including Rabies). She is
spayed and heartworm negative. She knows how to sit and lie down
on command. If you reach your hand out to her, she will
automatically place her paw in it.
It is thought that Lucy may have been abused or experienced some type
of trauma in her life. She is painfully shy and timid when it
comes to meeting new people or facing new situations. Lucy needs
to go to a home that will be patient with her as she tries to adjust to
her new surroundings. Lucy is very gentle and affectionate, but
must be allowed to "come around" in her own way and in her own
time. She gets along with other dogs (she lives with a female
Rottweiler in her foster home), but she might be more comfortable as
the only dog in a home.
Lucy is a very special girl and she has tremendous potential to become
a wonderful canine companion. She just needs someone who will
take the time to understand her and allow her all the time she needs to
adjust. If you are that someone, please click HERE
